There are three fundamental aspects of web development:

  • Front-end Development : This is the actual outlook of the kingdom, which is built by using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. HTML is used to build structure. CSS is used to style or decorate the site. And Javascript is used to create the workflow of the site.
  • Backend Development : This is the unseen engine behind the site, which handles tasks like storing data, processing user requests, and interacting with databases. Languages like Python, Java, and PHP are commonly used here.
  • Databases : This acts as a storage for the site. Which is used to store information, like articles, user profiles, or product listings. Databases act as digital warehouses, organizing and managing this data for easy access and manipulation.

The Non-coding Route: Create Your Own Website

There is another way to create a website using CMS (Content Management System). It is a customization tool used to manage digital content without editing the site’s code.

For example, If you want to create a blog site, you can simply create and edit the blog content using a simple text editor. There are a lot of CMS used to create a website, which is:

  • WordPress: A free and open source platform, which has multiple simple themes to use and create your own workspace. It’s best for small to large business, personal, and blogging websites.
  • Shopify: A user-friendly CRM used to host an e-commerce website for online retailers. It’s best for ecommerce and mini-seller shops.
  • Drupal: A flexible open-source platform, good for large businesses and for experienced developers. It can handle large amounts of data and heavy traffic. 
  • Joomla: A user-friendly free and open source platform, which has more technical aspects to create a website.
